Gianmarco Garofoli dreams big at Giro del Belvedere
The Italian rider from Team Astana Development will be again on the starting grid of the Easter-Monday U23 international cycling event and aims high: “I trained with Battistella and I will ask him for some tips…”
With plenty of talent, self-confidence and strength of will, promising Astana Development Team’s Italian rider Gianmarco Garofoli, born in 2002, is ready to join the fray and strive for victory at the Giro del Belvedere, scheduled on Easter Monday, April 18th, in Villa di Cordignano (Treviso, Northern Italy).
The U23 international cycling event is going to stage its 83rd edition and Garofoli is for sure one the young rising stars to keep an eye on. The Italian talent is ready to take up the challenge. “My goal is to leave the mark on this race – Garofoli explained – which always represented an historical date and a springboard for many young champions in the past. Also this time, I expect nothing less than the usual high technical level.”
The season start was not ideal for the Italian due to some physical issues, although the worst seems now to be behind.
