Villa di Villa
On sweet hills, at the foot of the Prealpi of Treviso mountains, lies Villa di Villa, a small outlying administrative division of the municipality of Cordignano. Its name indicates that it existed since remote ages in these lands a rural village, maybe belonging to Cordignano castle.
Nowadays very little remains of Cordignano castle (also known as “Castelat”): only the ruins, that testify its centuries old history. Mocenigo Villa, on the contrary, still preserves its stately appearance, in spite of the demolitions carried out in the last two centuries.
